Card A Day Blog Post: Milestone Birthdays

Hello everyone! Here is my latest post for the Card A Day Blog. This week's theme is, milestone birthdays. Since I just turned 50 this past year, yes, I'll admit it, lol, along with a few others that I know, I thought I would use that one as my theme for my card.

To make my card, I started off with a 5.5" x 4.25" white card base. I cut a piece of designer paper from Hot Off The Press, cut to 5.25" x 4" and added a piece of purple checked ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon running across the width of it, then adhered it to my card base. For my embellishment, I stamped a medium Pointed Posy stamp, from Outlines Rubber Stamp Company, on a piece of white card stock, and colored it with Copic Markers, B12, B24, BV13, and BV00. To add a little sparkle, I added some small clear rhinestones around the edge of the center of the flower, and added a dab of Glossy Accents to the center. I then cut and embossed a piece using the second to the largest circle in the Spellbinders Die, Picot Edge Circles with dark purple card stock, inked the edges with dark purple ink, then adhered that to the left side of the ribbon. I then attached my flower, using a piece of dimensional tape, to the top of the die cut.

For my sentiment, I printed out the words, Happy 50th on my printer, cut it out and inked around the edges with purple ink, and adhered it to a cut out from the smallest die from the Spellbinders Die, Romantic Rectangles, cut out in the same purple card stock as the other die cut, and inked around the edges. I attached that using another piece of dimensional tape to the right side of the ribbon.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you like my newest creation, and as always, I would love it if you would write a little comment, and let me know how you feel.
