I got the idea for this particular card from a card made by Joan B, from Paperlicious Thoughts and Images. To make my card, I started off with a 5.5" x 4.25" white card base. Since the theme is snow, I chose a paper with snowflakes for my background paper. I cut a zigzag across it with my Cricut, and my Sure Cuts A Lot program, then cut it to fit my card base, just a bit smaller than my card base, and leaving a gap, approximately 1/2 inch across the middle.
For my snowflake, I used a Stitched Snowflake Dazzle. I placed the Dazzle on top of a piece of light blue card stock paper, cut around the middle, then placed it on the left side of the pattered paper gap. I then stamped Merry Christmas in the paper gap to the right side of the card, then placed two more smaller snowflake Dazzles from the same sheet on either side of my sentiment.
To finish off my card, I added a little sparkle, by adding a rhinestone to the middle of the large snowflake, then adding little dots of Silver Viva Decor Glitter liner inside some of the snowflakes on the patterned paper.
I really love this card design, and I hope you do too. If you have the chance, please leave me a comment, and let me know what you think. Wow what a really cute idea for a card and so easy to a win-win for this time of the year. TFS and I will be lifting this too.
