Card A Day Blog Entry: Christmas

Christmas Snowman:

Hi everyone, it's time again for another entry for the Card A Day Blog. This weeks theme is Christmas, and here is the card that I made.

Since I will probably be sending this card to Operation Write Home, I started off with a 5.5" x 4.25" white card base. For my background paper I cut a 5.25" x 4" piece of holly patterned designer paper, and adhered it to the front of my card base.

For the holly panel, I used the Artistic brayer Stamping set, Holly Sprigs, from Inkadinkado. I inked up the roller with Memento Cottage Ivy ink, and rolled it over a white piece of card stock. I cut out one of the panels, adhered it to the top left corner of my card, then added little dots of ruby Viva Decor Glitter Liner, where the holly berries are on the image to give it a sparkly raised berry effect.

I wanted to add an image, and I found in some of my leftover stamped images, a snowman that I had stamped from the JustRite stamp set, Holiday Cheer, and colored with Copic markers, from last year that I never used. I had punched the image out using the next to the smallest Lacy Circles die, form Spellbinders. I inked the edges with red ink, then attached it to the corner of my holly stamped image.

I hope you like my little card, and if you have the time, please leave me a comment, and let me know what you think of it. I love hearing what people think of my creations. Make sure to visit the Card A Day Blog each day for lots of wonderful card making inspiration  Also, be sure to check out our monthly challenge for a chance to win a wonderful prize...:-)
